What is the purpose of this blog?

Why am I blogging? I suppose the main reason I that in my forty plus years I have learnt a few things and I’d like to share these ideas with the world.
Most of it will be rubbish. The older I get, the more I realise how little I know. However, I am very opinionated. I would rather hold a view strongly and then discover that I am wrong than be lukewarm in my opinions. Nothing was ever achieved by fence-sitters!
I intend to start with an ontological discussion, but I expect the blog will eventually deteriorate into less serious topics. I'm the sort of person who, when he surfs the net, starts with heavy subjects like philosophy and physics, but an hour later is looking at porn!
